Spotlighting Advancements in Pediatric Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP)

In the ever-evolving field of pediatric hematology, clinical certainty is often in short supply when it comes to treating children with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). This rare autoimmune condition affects platelet counts and impacts the lives of young patients and their caregivers in deeply personal ways. Yet, despite recent therapeutic advancements, many clinicians are still navigating this complex terrain without a reliable map; that’s where our team comes in.

Launched at the ISTH 2025 Annual Congress, “Advancements in Pediatric ITP: What You Need to Know” builds bridges between hematology care teams by equipping physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates with the expert insights needed to deliver optimal care. Aligned with the latest guidelines, this program incorporates emerging data on novel therapeutics—including the expanding role of thrombopoietin receptor agonists—in pediatric treatment algorithms. Between case-based discussions, personalized treatment strategies, and an emphasis on quality of life for patients and caregivers, The France Foundation ensures that the content is evidence-based and patient-centered.

What’s Special About This Program?

  • Multiformat Learning – From a live, interactive symposium at ISTH to a condensed, accredited podcast, downloadable ITP resources and patient support materials developed by the Platelet Disorder Support Association (PDSA), this program delivers education where and how learners want it.
  • Global Reach, Targeted Impact – With a presence at the 2025 ISTH Congress and on multiple platforms dedicated to hematology professionals, this activity reaches those best positioned to make a difference in clinical environments.
  • Real Outcomes, Not Just Objectives – This case-based learning opportunity doesn’t just inform, it transforms by providing the chance to discuss options directly with experts. Confidence, competence, and intent-to-change metrics are built in, supported by robust testing tools for learners to get the most value out of the program.

Pediatric ITP is a high-need, low-frequency condition—one that doesn’t always receive the spotlight it deserves. But we believe that small patient populations deserve big solutions, and this program demonstrates what’s possible when you combine thorough content development with thoughtful partnerships and strategic dissemination to learners. Together, we’re empowering clinicians to make evidence-informed treatment decisions and enhance the lives of their young patients.
