Join Our Expert-Led Session at the Alliance Conference: "Using Motivational Theories to Attract, Engage, and Retain Learners"

The France Foundation is excited to announce that two of our team members, Margaret Das, PhD, and Ailene Cantelmi, MFA, will be presenting a session at the upcoming Alliance conference. Scheduled for Wednesday, February 7th, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm CST, “Using Motivational Theories to Attract, Engage, and Retain Learners” promises to offer invaluable insights for anyone involved in educational design and delivery. Margaret and Ailene collaborated with Claire Kilfoyle, the Chief Programs and Education Officer at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, to develop this session.

Ailene shared a bit of what to expect; “We’ll ask learners to reflect on what motivates them to engage in education and we’ll hear directly from clinician learners on what motivates or demotivates them. We’re going to look at select motivational theories and how to apply them to “real-world” learners, particularly in the context of clinical education.” This is a chance to gain insights from experts in learning design and to discover innovative ways to apply motivational theories in your practice.

At The France Foundation, we understand that building the best educational activities requires an understanding of learners' needs and preferences. This session will provide attendees with the tools and knowledge to craft educational experiences that are as engaging as they are effective. If you are attending the conference this year, we encourage you to join us – mark your calendars for February 7th, and come say hi to our team. We look forward to seeing you there and hearing about your motivation for attending!
