Welcome

Welcome to the BEACON Program — Building Effective Amyloidosis Care Networks is a national initiative developed by The France Foundation in collaboration with the International Cardio-Oncology Society to improve how clinicians recognize, diagnose, and manage amyloidosis. This site serves as a central hub for multidisciplinary education and collaboration, connecting cardiologists, hematologists, neurologists, nephrologists, pathologists, primary care physicians, and other specialists across levels of expertise. Through live and virtual learning experiences, case discussions, and regional collaborations, BEACON strengthens referral pathways, accelerates diagnosis, and supports optimized care planning for patients with amyloidosis. Here, visitors can register for upcoming sessions, access CME/CE information, explore evidence-based tools, and discover how to join a growing network dedicated to early detection and coordinated, patient-centered care in amyloidosis management.

Program Overview

Learn how to recognize amyloidosis early, provide diagnosis, and manage patients with suspected or confirmed amyloidosis. In this program, you’ll explore typical symptom patterns across genotypes and phenotypes, with practical insights into diagnostic pathways. By strengthening collaboration with specialized centers, the program enhances care coordination, speeds access to advanced therapies, and supports better patient outcomes across the health care system.

TARGET AUDIENCE/PROGRAM OVERVIEW

TARGET AUDIENCE
This educational activity is intended for the multidisciplinary care team (cardiologists, hematologists, hematologist-oncologists, nephrologists, geneticists, pathologists, neurologists, surgeons, imagers, primary care physicians), and other members of the health care team (nurses, PAs) who see patients with amyloidosis.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The goal of this initiative is to strengthen regional care networks to support optimal diagnosis, management, and monitoring of patients with suspected and confirmed amyloidosis. The curriculum emphasizes comparing evidence-based treatment options, applying best practices in care planning, and clarifying the distinct roles of clinical team members in patient management. Participants will explore monitoring strategies, assessment methods, and team-based approaches to address ongoing disease burden and optimize long-term outcomes.
