TARGET AUDIENCE/PROGRAM OVERVIEW

TARGET AUDIENCE
This educational activity is intended for clinicians who have a role in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), including neurologists, neuromuscular specialists, pediatricians, geneticists, genetic counselors, physical and occupational therapists, nurse practitioners, and physician associates.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This activity is part of a national series addressing ongoing knowledge and competence gaps for DMD. The focus is on improving diagnosis and patient monitoring via multidisciplinary and interprofessional care coordination; increasing knowledge surrounding gene therapy clinical trial endpoints with a focus toward real world application; and an enhanced awareness of patient/caregiver perspectives and incorporation into clinical decision-making.
