Optimizing Identification and Management of aHUS in Pregnancy and Postpartum

Array

Activity Info

This podcast series addresses the challenges of recognizing and managing atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) in pregnancy and the postpartum period, where clinical overlap with conditions such as HELLP syndrome and thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura often leads to delayed diagnosis and treatment. Despite advances in understanding complement-mediated pathophysiology and the availability of targeted therapies, gaps in clinical awareness persist and can result in significant maternal and fetal morbidity.

Through four brief, case-based episodes, expert faculty will provide practical guidance on differentiating aHUS from other thrombotic microangiopathies, applying evidence-based treatment strategies, and implementing a multidisciplinary care approach to improve patient outcomes.
