This educational activity is intended for members of the pediatric hematology care team, including physicians (practicing and trainees), nurse practitioners, and PAs.

Upon completion of the activity, participants should be able to:

• Describe the pathophysiology of VWD and mechanisms of von Willebrand factor (VWF) relevant to the presentation in pediatric patients
• Differentiate between recombinant and plasma-derived VWF products, incorporating PK/PD considerations into individualized treatment selection for pediatric patients
• Integrate evidence-based strategies to individualize treatment plans for pediatric patients with VWD
