 Full day interactive program designed for primary care focusing on the BOLD-T (Bone, Obesity, Lipids, Diabetes, and Thyroids). NO boring lectures! While sessions will include a little bit of slides, focus is on tackling cases in small groups, woven with educational gaming and expert panel discussions.

7:30–8:00am   Registration and Breakfast
8:00–8:10am   Welcome and Introductions
8:10–8:45am   What challenges do you have managing patients with endocrine conditions?
  • Attendees will visit stations throughout the room to leave notes about what they want to learn today
  • Throughout the day, at the start of each new topic, the faculty will discuss the themes that emerged

A focus on the BOLD-T (Bone, Obesity, Lipids, Diabetes, and Thyroids). We’ll review the latest about diagnosis, management, and what’s on the horizon to improve patient care.

8:45–10:30am   Focus on DIABETES
An update on diabetes therapies with a review of the newest continuous glucose monitor (CGM) technologies
10:30–10:45am   Break
10:45–11:45am   Focus on BONE and THYROID
A review of risk factors for bone loss and an update on treatment options. Also, a review of important thyroid tests including when to biopsy.
11:45am–12:15pm   Lunch
12:15–1:30pm   Focus on LIPIDS
A focus on statins: management, risks, fears, and new data.
1:30–2:45pm   Focus on OBESITY
Highlights treatment, disordered eating patterns, communication strategies with patients, and long-term risk factors.
2:45–3:00pm   Developing an Action Plan – What are you going to start doing differently in practice?
3:00–3:30pm   Summary and Q&A

Led by well-known expert faculty representing the multidisciplinary team treating endocrine disorders.
