TARGET AUDIENCEThis activity is intended for health care professionals who have a direct role in the management of acute and/or chronic pain, including Rheumatologists, Neurologists/Neurosurgeons, Urologists, Oncologists, General Surgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, Emergency Medicine Specialists, Internists/Family Physicians, OB/GYNs, Anesthesiologists, and Pain Management Physicians. STATEMENT OF NEEDThis activity has been planned in accordance with the need to provide health care professionals with an interactive continuing medical education activity that addresses the benefits and risks of opioid therapy, assessment strategies, abuse deterrent technologies (ADTs), and required documentation for compliance of regulatory policies in order to address challenges related to the increase in prescription drug abuse and the undertreatment of pain. ACCREDITATION STATEMENTThe France Foundation is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
