Created in collaboration with the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Assocation (GAPNA), PINNACLE™ (Practice Improvement Network for the Needs of Older Adults with Chronic Constipation and Irritable Bowel Syndrome) is a national educational initiative designed to provide practicing gerontological nurse practitioners (GNPs) and other advanced practice nurses associated with the overall GAPNA networks with a comprehensive continuing education program that focuses on the latest clinical information, guidelines, and tools to optimize and improve management of patients with chronic constipation (CC) and/or irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C). To improve clinical outcomes of patients with chronic constipation and/or IBS-C, practitioners must keep abreast of the latest information and best practices for effective chronic constipation and/or IBS-C management.

PILOT™ (Pulmonary Fibrosis Identification: Lessons for Optimizing Treatment) is a national education initiative designed to provide physicians with a comprehensive continuing medical education program that focuses on the early and accurate diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) while addressing educational objectives critical to optimizing disease intervention and management.

CIRCULATE™ (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Education for Specialists) is a national educational initiative designed to provide practicing pulmonologists with a comprehensive continuing medical education program that focuses on the latest clinical information, guidelines, and tools to optimize and improve management of patients with COPD. To improve clinical outcomes of patients with COPD, practitioners must keep abreast of the latest information and best practices for effective COPD management.

Prostate Cancer Prevention

PROACTIVE (PROstAte Cancer ETIology: Approaching PreVention through Education) is a national continuing medical education curriculum designed to provide urologists, internists, and family practitioners with practice improvements in the prevention of prostate cancer.

Immunizations

PROTECT (SupPorting ApROpriate ImmunizaTions Across the AgE SpeCTrum) is an educational curriculum designed for family physicians, internal medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, osteopathic physicians, obstetricians/gynecologists, pediatricians, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other health care professionals involved with preventing disease through immunizations.

Adult Pneumococcal Disease

The Adult Pneumococcal Disease Education Curriculum is designed for family physicians, geriatricians, osteopathic physicians, and other health care professionals to address the prevalence of pneumococcal disease and the barriers to achieving appropriate immunizations rates.

Pain Management

A Grand Rounds series seeking to provide health care professionals with an interactive continuing medical education activity that addresses the benefits and risks of opioid therapy, assessment strategies, abuse deterrent technologies (ADTs), and required documentation for compliance of regulatory policies in order to address challenges related to the increase in prescription drug abuse and the undertreatment of pain.
