David M. Spiegel, MD
David M. Spiegel, MD David M. Spiegel, MD, is a professor of medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He received his medical degree from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Spiegel completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois where he also served as chief resident in internal medicine. He completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Spiegel is currently the practice director for clinical nephrology for the Renal Division at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and medical director for the Chronic Hemodialysis Program. Dr. Spiegel has been included in the list of The Best Doctors in America (Woodward/White Incorporated) and The Consumer's Research Council of America's Guides to America's Top Physicians. Dr. Spiegel has published more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has written several book chapters. In addition, he is involved in the ongoing teaching program at the University of Colorado. Dr. Spiegel is currently a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nephrology, the International Society of Nephrology, and the National Kidney Foundation.
